Like many working parents, balancing family life and running a small business has been both busy and rewarding but we are finally settling into a lovely rhythm. StartSmart has proudly evolved through three passionate owners while remaining true to its traditional values and loyal customer base. The business was originally founded by Emma before being lovingly continued by Fiffa, who helped grow StartSmart into a much-loved destination for classic children’s clothing and country-inspired childrenswear.

I became the third owner of StartSmart in 2022 and feel incredibly proud to continue the brand’s story while preserving everything customers love about it- timeless style, exceptional quality and traditional British children’s fashion inspired by countryside living. As both a mother and business owner, I carefully select every collection with real family life in mind, focusing on traditional children’s clothing that combines comfort, practicality and timeless elegance.
